I hate taking pictures like this. However, it is a constant reminder of how blessed I am and at the same time how wicked this city can be. Once again I maintain in the richest country in the world it is inexcusable that people should have to live like this. And while I am not anti-immigration I don't see how we can open our arms to foreigners while closing them to our own citizens. At times it seems like the best we can do is from time to time give the homeless person a sandwich and pray that the public doesn't feed into the malarkey that they can just help themselves or that we are wasting money on food stamps.
