Update

I haven't done bad with my pledge to post something every week.  I haven't exactly posted EVERY week, but I did do some significant work and I am not going to stop.  Next Monday (Labor Day) should have pictures of the West Indian Day Parade God willing and weather permitting.  I still need to get to the Bronx Zoo, the Planetarium and the Museum of Natural History.  Early October will hopefully get me back to Washington DC.  If I can plan it correctly next year may get me Atlanta, Memphis, Toronto, New Orleans and California.

CITI FIELD 8/29/2015

Not much of a Mets fan though I don't exactly hate them either.  This was my third time being in Citi Field and I can't say that I loved it.  Let me be clear.  I had a great time with friends and I enjoyed the game even while sitting in the nosebleed section (for $42....insane).  It's just that the inside part of Citi Field looks like the insides of a housing development.  The outside portion of the stadium is nice. Overall nothing like Yankee Stadium, which I enjoy.  Anyway, here goes....

Co-Op City from my phone

Believe it or not the building was not the focal point.  It was the clouds

The building was the focus in this picture

PHILADELPHIA part 3

This was one of those weekends where I needed to get away from the city.  Granted, it was another city similar to New York, but I still got away.  I didn't want to be with a single soul and for the most part I accomplished that.  I went to Philly by New Jersey Transit and I came back by Megabus.  The return is significant because I absolutely hate traveling by bus.  I am going t do one of these trips every month.  It may not be Philadelphia (though I need to take some photos that are not in Center City).  I might just venture up to White Plains by Metro North and see what upstate New York has to offer.

Wherever I travel I see this.  It's about as common now as seeing  the city bus and it is too easily accepted.  I guess on the other hand it could be worse and the cops could arrest him but I just don't understand why it is apparently easier to cure some cancers than it is to look out for our less fortunate
